Many people walking into an adult use dispensary these days are looking for the easiest and most discrete cannabis products to consume. Many turn to edibles for this, but for others edibles just don’t do the trick. That has led to a rise in the use of vape carts and disposable vapes to fill that need. Which one is better? We’ve matched these two up in a five round battle of the titans to see who’s left standing. The five rounds will cover the requirements most cannaconsumers look for in a vape. So, kick back in the cut, fire one up, and let’s learn about some weed stuff.

Round 1: Cost and Usability. Side by side, the two are pretty comparable in price. For new consumers, disposable vapes are very attractive because they come in smaller sizes and are pop and play, no additional equipment required. Vape carts, however, require the use of a battery or pen as they are often referred to. Buying a battery adds cost to your endeavor, requires you making sure you buy the right equipment, and learning the functionality of your new battery. The Judges deliberated and scored this round for disposable vapes!

Round 2: Eco-friendliness. There is no comparison here. Vape carts are by far more eco-friendly than disposable vapes. If you find a battery you are comfortable using, that battery can run through dozens of carts or more before you must dispose of it and add a battery to the landfill. On the other hand, every disposable vape gets tossed when it is finished. The number of batteries thrown away by cannabis consumers is astounding. The judges wasted no time in scoring this round for vape carts!

Round 3: Durability. Sure, vape carts are more eco-friendly, but disposable vapes are far more durable. Disposable vapes are self-contained units, all one piece. Being solid reduces its leverage point and keeps it safer in your pocket, jacket, or bag. Regardless of what type of cart or battery you buy, you must connect the two pieces to make them work. That connection increases the leverage point as the connection point is far smaller than the battery or cart. That, coupled with the long pen-style battery that most consumers feel most comfortable with, often leads to vape carts being broken in pockets, jackets, and bags.  Judges awarded this round to disposable vapes!

Round 4: Customization Disposable vapes may be pop and play but that means you get what you get. If you don’t like the color, shape, size, or temperature settings, you are stuck with what you bought. Buying a battery for a vape cart allows you a world of customization, the best being able to control the temperature which. Batteries come in thousands of variations. If you look hard enough, you’ll find the battery perfectly dialed in for you. There is no real way to dial in a disposable vape for a specific user. Vape carts evened up the battle as judges gave them the round.

Round 5: Discretion. Many disposable vapes look like any disposable tobacco vape, if the amount of batteries cannabis consumers throw away is astounding the amount tobacco users throw away is outright devastating.  The similar look does provide camouflage though. However, there are many vape batteries that are small and very discrete and more battery producers are designing batteries that look like tobacco disposable vapes. Both are far less pungent smelling than smoking cannabis flower and both are highly discrete. The judges scored this round a draw.
